Not only does it taste and smell like Christmas, it also helps to regulate blood sugar in the body.  Get the best of both worlds with these three holiday snack recipes!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg\" alt=\"blog-divider-line\" width=\"620\" height=\"60\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg 620w, https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line-300x29.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Crunchy Apple Crisps<\/h3>\n<p>Serves 1<br \/>\nIngredients:<br \/>\nApples (thinly sliced)<br \/>\nDash of cinnamon<br \/>\nDash of nutmeg<br \/>\nDirections:<br \/>\n\u2022\tHeat oven to 225 degrees.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPlace apple slices in a single layer on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.<br \/>\n\u2022\tBake in oven for 1 hour.<br \/>\n\u2022\tFlip apple slices over, then bake for another hour.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAllow to cool about 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg\" alt=\"blog-divider-line\" width=\"620\" height=\"60\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg 620w, https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line-300x29.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Mashed Sweet Potatoes<\/h3>\n<p>Serves 2-3<br \/>\nIngredients:<br \/>\n2 large sweet potatoes<br \/>\n3 Tbsp. almond milk<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt or soy yogurt (both are optional)<br \/>\n2 Tbsp. agave<br \/>\nDash of cinnamon<br \/>\nDash of sea salt<br \/>\nDirections:<br \/>\n\u2022\tWash and peel potatoes and cut them into 2-inch pieces<br \/>\n\u2022\tBoil large pot of water and add potatoes. Cook about 20-30 minutes until a fork easily goes through them.<br \/>\n\u2022\tDrain water.<br \/>\n\u2022\tMash potatoes in the pot and add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well.
