Throw in a little dried fruit or dark chocolate for a satisfying burst of energy.  Prepare a large bulk bag, or make individual \u00bc cup portions. Try baking apple chips!  Prepare this recipe the night before travel for a sweet and crunchy travel snack.  Homemade baked apples pack all the flavor without the added sugar and sulfites of store-bought brands.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg\" alt=\"blog-divider-line\" width=\"620\" height=\"60\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line.jpg 620w, https:\/\/landing-uat.thedolcediet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/blog-divider-line-300x29.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Roasted Chickpeas<\/h3>\n<p>Makes 3 to 4 Servings<br \/>\n15 oz. can chickpeas, drained, rinsed and dried<br \/>\n1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil<br \/>\n1 tsp. smoked paprika<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp. salt<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp. garlic powder<br \/>\n~Quick Recipe~<br \/>\n\u2022\tPreheat your oven to 400 degrees.<br \/>\n\u2022\tWash and drain the chickpeas using a mesh colander.<br \/>\n\u2022\tLay out a few paper towels and pat the chickpeas dry.<br \/>\n\u2022\tOnce dry, add the chickpeas to a baking sheet.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAdd olive oil and all spices.<br \/>\n\u2022\tBake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.<br \/>\n\u2022\t(The chickpeas will continue to crisp as they cool).<br \/>\nFor a protein- and fiber-packed snack, roast your own chickpeas!  Roasted chickpeas are crunchy and can be seasoned in a variety of ways.
