Furthermore, about 40 percent of adults unintentionally fall asleep during the day. Here are some conditions that can result from sleep deprivation:<br \/>\n<strong>Increased Anxiety Levels<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tRaises brain\u2019s anticipatory receptors and increases that feeling of anxiousness<br \/>\n<strong>Increased Depression Levels<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tLowers mood-regulating neurotransmitters<br \/>\n<strong>Circadian Rhythm Interruption<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tWeakens white blood cell health<br \/>\n\u2022\tDecreases stress response<br \/>\n<strong>Increase Stroke Risk<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tElevates risk of blood flow restriction to the brain<br \/>\n<strong>Cognitive Impairment<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tImpairs memory and thought processing<br \/>\n<strong>Increased Risk of High Blood Pressure<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\t6 hours of sleep or less increases your risk of hypertension<br \/>\n<strong>Increased Risk of Diabetes<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tTriggers stress hormone release of cortisol and norepinephrine, both associated with insulin resistance<br \/>\n<strong>Increased Risk of Breast Cancer<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022\tStaying up on your phone right before bed reduces melatonin production, which disrupts estrogen production.
